Welcome to matchworn.co.uk

Welcome to matchworn.co.uk a now to be, regularly updated holding page displaying links to the personal collections of a number of genuine match worn football shirt collectors. Web sites exhibiting my own collections of shirts and related match used memorabilia can be viewed at walesmatchshirts.com, with a new Ryan Giggs Match Shirts to go live before the end of this year. The other collectors galleries of football players match worn, game worn, match issued, game used, football shirts or jerseys can be viewed by clicking on the links in the Collectors Links index on the left hand side. There are few new additions in this latest page update, including collections of Ireland soccer shirts, Finland international and Liverpool club shirts as well as specific compilations of kit manufacturers Admiral 1970's & 80's styles and a small select site of David Beckham match shirts. Another bonus is to see the well-known irelandshirts.com revamped site back online.
I am also now the curator of another excellent and quite unbelievable addition to the superb sites found here, The National Football Shirt Collection. This very exciting project is the personal collection of the foremost football memorabilia collector in the UK and due to its vast size could take a number of years to catalogue and add all its shirts to the new site. Using the link why not watch the site evolve, including its spin off sites exhibiting wonderful new collections from the England, Northern Ireland and Scotland nation teams and additions to my own Wales and the Ireland shirts web sites. Another spin off will see a specific stand-alone Tottenham Hotspur site added to this pages portfolio early next year.

The idea of matchworn.co.uk is for experienced collectors to help introduce interested or new collectors to the joys of the wonderful hobby of football match worn shirts/soccer game used jerseys. It is hoped that with the continual new additions, and the expansion of matchworn.co.uk it will become an excellent resource point for match worn football shirt information from all over the world. A place of reference, for shirt history, styles, differences and any other information related to match worn football shirts and memorabilia. Of course this knowledge is based around collectors linked here and their own areas of specialist interest. Nobody can claim to know everything but by all working together the genuine collectors can do their bit to help stamp out the curse of the hobby: the fakers, and their fake shirts. Using this pooled shirt knowledge we can all assist in helping authenticate genuine player's shirts for other genuine and serious collectors, whether experienced or new to the hobby. We are happy to work with and assist the UK Auction Houses on any of their consigned match shirt memorabilia and I am personally very pleased to be associated and work with Graham Budd Auctions at Sothebys. Please note: we are not a shirt valuers or offer a valuation service, but are very happy to discuss current market prices, estimates and prices realized at recent sporting memorabilia auctions.
I know that all the collectors linked on this page are very proud of what they have. Have a good look round and trust viewing their collections gives you as much enjoyment as it has given us all, putting them together. If you have anything you think maybe of interest or any questions related to match worn memorabilia then please do get in touch.
Many thanks
Shakey
